Other Informations
Both oil seals should be backward compatible, since the diameters of the crankshaft has not changed (the inner diameters). Nor has the outer diameter of the oil seals changed.
The lip system of the new oil seals is totally redesigned and does not have the metal coil spring (also known as Garter spring) that holds the sealing lip firmly on the shaft.
