Lighting from a HID kit is up to 10 times more durable than a halogen lighting system, since road vibrations can cause damage to a halogen filament, but there is nothing to break inside a HID bulb. Instead of using a filament, the HID bulb is lit by a high voltage spark (like in a spark plug). The spark is fired inside a glass tube filled with xenon, creating an arc with super bright light. This electrical arc is similar to the lighting in the sky, so in a sense, HID xenon bulbs are what you might call "lightning in a bottle!"
HID light comes in many different colors; this one is a 6000K, which gives a light blue tint also known as "Crystal White". A standard halogen bulbs is 2300K.
☄ The light output from a 35W HID Xenon lamp generate about 300% more visible light than a 55W halogen bulb. The xenon HID kit will also consume much less power from your electrical system, and generate much less heat during operation. (If you have snow or ice on the headlight it might not melt it !)
All the parts and wire harness can be viewed in one of the pictures (click to enlarge).
This upgrade kit is complete, and is 100% plug and play - very fast and easy to install. None of the wires can be mixed, all the plugs can only be connected in one way, so you don't make any mistakes.
The ballast modules are of the latest types made of aluminum to give optimal cooling, even when used in the desserts of Sahara.
The high voltage wires are made of silicon, making them soft and resistant to electrical failures.
All the high voltage wires also has yellow silicon seals. This is to prevent water, moisture and dirt to penetrate into the connections.
Make sure the yellow silicon seals are pushed firmly into the holes.
