In this video you can learn, how to detect an unbalance between the Transfer Case and the Gearbox:
If the Transfer Case / Gearbox alignment is incorrect, the gap between the two wires will get larger, or smaller, when the intermediate shaft is rotating.
By using the adjuster plates, height adjustments on the Transfer Box and Gearbox can be made for proper alignment.
After the height adjustments, left/right adjustments can be made by means of "long hole adjustments".
The distance between the two wires should always be the same during a full turn of the shaft.
PS.: If you are still using the old Universal Joints on the intermediate shaft (like in this video), it is highly recommended to upgrade into the new CV-joint system. (This will remove/prevent many vibrations)
After a proper alignment, the gap remains the same during rotation.
The video and descriptions showed how to make the proper adjustment in the X and Y planes (Left/Right and Up/down).
The Z plane (forward/backward), could be done in this way:
WARNING: The following method is hazardous, and must only be performed by at least 2 people.
TIP: Do this adjustment first, and then proceed with the adjustments shown in the video's.
