⭐ The average lifetime of Polyurethane is around 20 times longer than rubber.
Here are some of the parameters used when comparing Polyurethane with Rubber:
Tensile strength (Breaking force)
The most important parameter, is the tensile strength. The tensile strength, is the force it takes so make a permanent change (break) in the material.
The tensile strength (for the ПОЛИНА Polyurethane material) is 320 kg/cm, the serial LADA rubber is 140 kg/cm.
Exceeding the tensile strength, will lead to internal ruptures/cracks, and the bushing is rapidly destroyed.
The higher tensile strength - the lower the probability of failure. But, things are not linear! Increasing the tensile strength of 2 times - reduce the probability of ruptures/cracks of 8-10 times.
Temperature
The tensile strength decreases when the temperature decrease/drops. The frost resistance of the material is important for those of you, who lives in very cold conditions. The ПОЛИНА Polyurethane blend is made for Russian conditions, and safe (does not change the characteristics) down to -55 °C.
PS. It's also safe up to 120 °C.
Fatigue/durability/destruction cycles
Another way to break the material is to expose the material to twists - lots of twist, until a permanent change in the material is present.
Tests have shown that 2 million twists were not enough to destroy the ПОЛИНА Polyurethane blend. A typical rubber blend will keep working for up to 500.000 twists.
Below are some of the numbers for the ПОЛИНА (Polina) Polyurethane blend, compared with other Russian manufacturers.
