Only fit engines produced up to 8. November 2008 (VAZ 21214-20 and 2131-41). Identified by the old/early "Narrow/slim hydraulic lifters" as shown here ⟹

If your engine has the old oil hydraulic lifters, this downgrade kit will fit your engine.

Use this kit, if you have one of the following needs:

• The valves are making knocking sounds (typical when engine runs in idle, or when starting engine - most significant in cold weather)
• Tuning for more engine performance. Engines with high rotation speeds (high RPM) never use hydraulic systems. The hydraulic fluid cannot move as fast as required (it would need a higher pressure and a special fluid).

The downgrade kit simply re-install the good old proven mechanical components. The only disadvantage is: Again, you will need to adjust the valve settings for every 10.000 km

With this kit, you will have the following 2 benefits (Feedback from Russian users):

• Improved engine performance due to precise valve timing.
• Brings back a little of the lost pressure in the hydraulic system (which helps the hydraulic chain tensioner system), and therefore less rattling noise from the chain.
